Experience
This is my 11th year in education. My journey as an educator began as a Special Education teacher teaching basic Math, English, and Reading to 6th and 8th graders. Soon after that, I began teaching English Language Arts and Pre-AP with ESL (English as a Second Language) and TAG (Talented and Gifted) 7th graders. An instructional leader, I've served as Department Chair, Team Lead, and District Curriculum Writer & Presenter.
These experiences are formative to my career, especially as I serve in the role of instructional coach and leader. I am dedicated to positively impacting students' lives by investing in the ongoing development of their teachers. I do so with the deep conviction that continual learning and development is crucial to our influence as educators and that teachers make the most impact on student growth in the classroom.
