Summer Happenings!

Sun's Up, Get Up, Clean Up Program!
Mayor Patrick Payton and Keep Midland Beautiful are encouraging Midlanders to join us in the Suns Up, Get Up, Clean Up summer litter cleanup campaign for the next 3 months - June, July, August.
Pick It Up and you could get a honey butter chicken biscuit coupon from Whataburger (Midland, Texas).
Be sure to sign up on the Sun's Up, Get Up, Clean Up page for this program and don't forget the clean up results form, too!

Pollinator Planting w/ Midland Health Community Garden
We had over 30 people show up, ready to play in the dirt and learn about pollinators, milkweed, and nectar plants. We planted over 60 plants, including 42 nectar plants and 20 milkweed plugs - all made possible by two grants we received. We were awarded the monarch garden grant provided by the Native Plant Society of Texas for all of the Texas native nectar plants as well as the Free Milkweed for Schools & Nonprofits grant by Monarch Watch and are splitting the flat of 50 milkweed plugs with the West Texas Food Bank (Midland garden).
