News and Notes

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) 2022 Students of the Year program

We are proud to celebrate Indigo Pardun's participation in The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) 2022 Students of the Year program.

Students of the Year is seven-week fundraising challenge where high school student leaders raise money and awareness for the fight against blood cancers. This year’s campaign kicked off on February 5th and culminated at our Grand Finale Gala, Friday, March 25th. The funds raised benefit the LLS mission: to find a cure for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease, and myeloma, and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

During her campaign, Indigo and other Brockport students came together to raise these funds through networking with friends and family, hosting proceeds nights, and participated in letter writing campaigns, all while advocating for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s mission.

This year, 15 high school candidate teams came together to raise over $265,000 towards our mission! This is truly an elite group of students!

Thank you, Indigo, for your incredible leadership and for serving as an outstanding example at BHS!
