There will be two sessions available for families needing to attend for multiple children. Sessions will last 20 minutes, and students are welcome to attend. The schedule is as follows:

6:40-7:00 - Grade Level Presentations (for all families, in classrooms)
7:10-7:30 - Grade Level Presentations (only for families with more than one CWC student)
Our school is required to inform you of information that you, according to the Every Student Succeeds Act of 2015 (Public Law 114-95), have the right to know.
Upon your request, our school is required to provide to you in a timely manner the following information:
- Whether your student's teacher has met state qualification and licensing criteria for the grade levels and subject areas i which the teacher provides instruction.
- Whether your student's teacher is teaching under emergency or other provisional status through which state qualification or licensing criteria have been waived.
- Whether your student's teacher is teaching in the field of discipline of the certification of the teacher.
- Whether your child is provided services by paraprofessionals and, if so, their qualifications.
In addition to the information that parents may request, a building receiving Title 1.A funds must provide to each individual parent:
- Information on the level of achievement and academic growth of your student, if applicable and available, on each of the state academic assessments required under Title 1.A.
- Timely notice that your student has been assigned, or has been taught for 4 or more consecutive weeks by a teacher who has not met applicable state certification or licensure requirements at the grade level and subject area in which the teacher has been assigned.
Fall club registration is open!
Registration for fall clubs is now open through your Infinite Campus Parent Portal School Store and will close on Tuesday, September 5th!
Clubs run once a week for 10 weeks, and the cost of each club is $100. Students signed up for clubs must be picked up promptly at 5 pm with the exception of Camp Fire students, who will go to their Camp Fire classrooms when clubs finish. Please avoid picking up your child from their club before 5 pm because it disrupts club time for the other students. Fall clubs will begin the week of September 18th and run through December 7th, skipping the week of October 23rd for conferences.
To register, log into your Parent Portal, choose School Store, then Shop, and finally Products. At this point, you can view information about each club, add to your cart, and check out by clicking Submit. Be sure to check the grade levels for each club before submitting.
Spots are limited, so please sign up as soon as possible! As clubs meet minimum enrollment, you will be charged the club fee in your Parent Portal and notified. Limited scholarships are available to families that qualify for free and reduced lunch by completing this scholarship application and will be given out on a first come, first served basis. Students may not begin clubs unless this fee is paid or a scholarship is confirmed. Please contact info@cwckansascity.org with any questions!
Free & Reduced Lunch Forms
Paper copies are also available in the school lobby. You can learn more about eligibility and print out the application here. If you are not able to attend Curriculum Night, please complete the application as soon as you are able and turn it in at the front desk, send it to school with your student to turn in to their teacher, or even email a clear photo of the form to Mr. Blake Smith.
Dropoff & Pickup Reminders
- During arrival and dismissal, please be a good neighbor and do not sit idle on Armour or Broadway where parking is not permitted. This creates unnecessary traffic and keeps our drop off and pick up from running efficiently. Please proceed through the car rider line or park on a street where parking is allowed and walk to drop off or meet your child.
- If you pick up your student through the car rider line at dismissal, it is imperative that we do not block driveways on 34th Street so that those neighbors can still get in and out of their homes. Wait for the space to open up before moving around parked cars so that through traffic can still use these routes.
- If your child is in 4th grade or older and you would like for them to be permitted to be dismissed from the walker area without an adult picking them up, please email both your child's teacher and dismissalchanges@cwckansascity.org to grant this permission.
- All scooters and bicycles should be stored in the rack just outside of the front door. Someone is always in the lobby to ensure they don't walk away. We can no longer have them stored in the foyer of the front entrance.
