Sherburn Hungate Weekly News - Spring Term - Issue 10
A word from Mr Broom
It's an exciting week coming up and I'd love it if you could join us on Tuesday for Story Night at 5-6pm. This is where we focus on fostering a love of reading. Don't forget your PJs and teddy bear!
I also had a real treat today, taking our wonderful Year Six class for the morning while Miss Mackay was delivering training. If you want to know anything about subtracting and adding fractions, ask me! Although I'm not sure who taught who!
Good luck also to some of our children who will be taking part in the cross-country finals at Dalby Forest on Tuesday. I'm sure they'll do us all proud.
Have a lovely weekend.
Story Night - Tuesday - 5-6pm
All you need is your pyjamas and a teddy bear (if you have one). See you then.
Specialist Coaching for our Swim Team
We're hoping the skills learned at Sonic's Swim-school will see them well in the up-and-coming swimming gala.

School Attendance
It's important that children attend school regularly and at Sherburn Hungate we recognise that excellent attendance leads to excellent achievement. Fact!
Our attendance for this week is 95.3%, which is a little short of our 96% target. Let's hope that next week we'll meet it together.
We know that there's lots of bugs around because we've had staff illness too. However, please help us by sending your children to school when they only have sniffles. If they're not well enough to be here, we will send them home.
Our top attending class this week is Year 6 with 100%
