Welcome To Music!!
Hi, my name is Ms. Astrop and this is my 3rd year here at Campbell and my 6th year teaching elementary music. I can't wait to share my love of music with you guys this year. All of your music assignments will be delivered to you through this newsletter that will go out every week by Monday. In this newsletter you will find:
-your weekly assignments for all specials
-info on your lesson for the week (live or individual activity)
-and how to turn in your assignments.
This week our lesson will be live for ALL grade levels. I will join your homeroom Microsoft Teams channel at your assigned music time. This week we will be covering the following:
-Introduction of your Teacher
-Virtual Classroom Tour
-How to Use Our Online Music Curriculum Quaver
-Setting Up Your Quaver Account
-Beat/Rhythm Activity
Quaver Music Curriculum
Quaver is the main system that we will use to teach music this year. It is our online curriculum that students can access through setting up a Quaver account at any time. ALL students will need to set up an account because all assignments and attendance for music will be taken using this system. In order to set up an account, you will need your child's class code. I will also help set up student accounts this week during your child's assigned music time.
If for any reason you miss the live lesson for the week, you can find the recording of the live lesson on your child's Microsoft Teams account under the Music channel. Below you can find the directions on how to set up your child's Quaver account if you miss the live music session.
Click here to find directions and your child's class code for Quaver accounts.
Click here to access the Quaver Website
If you have an account from last year, you can still use your account but you will need to update it with your child's new homeroom teacher. Click here to get directions on how to link your account to your child's new homeroom teacher.
All music assignments are due by Sunday of each week and will be assigned during the live lesson or can be seen through the recording on the Music channel of Microsoft Teams or this weekly newsletter.
If you have any questions or concerns you can reach me through email at astropan@fultonschools.org. If you want to set up a meeting or conference with me you can click here to set up a Calandly meeting. Remember this is a new way of teaching and learning for all of us so please be patient with me as we get through this new way of teaching and learning together.
Happy Music Learning,
Ms. Astrop

Welcome to P.E.!!!
Welcome back Campbell Cougars! We are all looking forward to a fun year virtually for now, and hopefully face-to-face in the future! You may notice that our staff has changed: Coach Thomas is at home with his new baby boy, Sander, and will be back in September. Coach Williams will be filling in for Coach Thomas while he is at home. Coach Hunt is back again and ready to see all your faces! Coach Lawson is back for another year at Campbell with his new assistant, Coach Luque. We can't wait to start the new year with each of you!
Every Monday, your P.E. assignments will be sent to you through this newsletter. In the newsletters you will find information for what to expect in P.E. from week to week as far as assignments, live lesson dates and times, pre-recorded videos, etc. This week and next our lessons will ALL be pre-recorded and we will start live lessons in week 3. Our focus for this week will be to introduce you to P.E. and locomotive movements. Specials will only last for 30 minutes while we are teaching and learning virtually. You can find your specials schedule through your homeroom teacher. At your specials time, we will join your homeroom class to begin our lesson. If you miss your specials time, you can catch a recording on your P.E. Microsoft Teams channel. The team is called Campbell Physical Education K-5, the assignments and lessons will be found in the "File" tab and under the specific grade level.
