My name is Alfredo Marcos. I was born in León, a small city in the north of Spain. I have worked in Dual Language Schools in my country. I also have experience in United Kingdom Schools, where I lived for a year. Sports are my great passion. I have practiced many of them since I was a child. I love music too, I play the guitar and the drums. Joining the Barbieri School Family makes me so happy. I am looking forward to this school year with you!

Hello, my name is Sra. Lee. I am so excited to join the Barbieri family and to be your child's teacher this year. I have taught several grades

from Pre-K through 6. I have worked in Dual Language programs for most of my career in New York.

I am Cuban American. Although I grew up in New York City, I was raised in a home that valued being bilingual and biliterate. I was

lucky to be surrounded by people of different races and nationalities. I am grateful to be joining a diverse community in Barbieri. I am a wife and mother to 3 children. I love spending time with my family exploring libraries, museums, and beaches. Some of my favorite things to do are read, sing, exercise, and practice meditation.

I have taught Pre-K FOR 14 years in my country and I have been an elementary teacher too. I attended university in

Madrid. I have been a teacher since 2007 and I have extensive knowledge in Math applied to education.

I am experienced and passionate teacher with a deep commitment to education and our children and and youth.

I am mother to a teenager and I love spending time with my family, walking on the beach, practicing meditación and

exercising. I like reading and cooking too! My favorite hobby: TEACHING.

My name is Alba, I am from Valencia, Spain and I am a preschool and primary Spanish teacher, qualified to teach in English as well as Spanish and Valencian. I have also recently obtained my Montessori Guide diploma in Early Years while I was working in a Montessori setting for 4 years. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, discovering new cultures, dancing, cooking, and doing arts and crafts as well as spending time with my family and friends.

I am Srta. Marina, a visiting teacher from Spain. This school year 2022-2023, I will be Kindergarten Teacher and I am so excited about that. I have been working as a teacher for 12 years and even though I taught in different grades, Kindergarten is my favorite!

Hi, everyone!!! My name is Jani. I’m from Spain. I’ve been working as a teacher for 12 years. However, this is my first year working in the dual language program. Last year I worked in 5th grade at Brophy in the TBE program.

I love my job, but I also love cooking, dancing and going to the movies.

I am originally from Portland, Oregon but recently moved back to Massachusetts after a decade living in Madison, Wisconsin. I like reading, gardening, playing soccer, goofing around with my 2 kids (3.5 years and 10 months), and walking my dog! I have been a school social worker for the past 7 years and am so excited to join the team at Barbieri Elementary! Please stop by and say hello!

Hello, my name is Marcus Price and I am excited to be joining the Barbieri community. This upcoming school year I will be teaching Physical Education and I can't wait to meet everyone.I previously worked for Worcester Public Schools and this will be my 7th year working as an educator. During my free time I like to stay active by playing various sports and I like to play video games.

I grew up in Istanbul, Turkey and moved to Boston to obtain my Master's degree at Emerson College in Communication Sciences and Disorders. I had the opportunity to work nationally and internationally at hospital, outpatient clinic and private practice settings, evaluating and treating individuals with a wide variety of speech and language disorders. In my spare time I like spending time with my family, cooking, reading and traveling as much as possible. I am very excited to be a part of the team at Barbieri School.

My name is Emma Gazarian and I’m excited to be joining Barbieri as an ESL teacher! I just moved from Vermont and am thrilled to be back. I worked as a literacy interventionist in Vermont and taught English Learners in MA before that. My name may still be listed as Emma Collins in certain places (including email) in the beginning of the school year, since I recently got married and changed my name. I’m looking forward to meeting everyone!

Hi! My name is Meredith Thompson. I am excited to be joining the Barbieri Elementary staff as an ESL teacher. I was born and raised in Barcelona, Spain to American parents and grew up attending multilingual schools, so I have always had a strong passion for bilingual education. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Linguistics and Theater Studies from Emory University and a Master of Teaching from the University of Sydney, specializing in TESOL and Drama. Over the past nine years, I have worked extensively with elementary, middle, and high school ELL students of Latin American, Asian, African, and European language backgrounds. I have recently relocated to Boston from Richmond, Virginia, where I worked as a 2nd and 3rd grade elementary ESL teacher. I am looking forward to the start of the school year and getting to know the incredible students and staff at Barbieri!

My name is Damaris Barrios. I was born in Maracaibo, Venezuela. I am delighted to start this 2022-2023 school year with the Barbieri family.

My great desire has been to work in my professional field since I arrived in the United States six years ago, and today, Barbieri School allows me to join its school community for my professional growth.

I graduated in my country, Venezuela, in 2009, with a Bachelor of Integral Education at the National Open University. Even as a student, I started working with children in public schools for more than eight years, covering all grades, from first to sixth. Then when I arrived in the United States, I had to face a new challenge, learn the language and thus take the corresponding exams to obtain the required license. I am excited to be back at Barbieri this year!

My name is Maria Angeles, I live in the South of Spain in a beautiful city called Malaga. I work in a Primary school in Velez-Malaga. I have two older brothers and one sister younger than me. My parents are Francisca and Antonio. My husband is Rodrigo and my son is Rodrigo too, he is 12 years old. We live near the beach in a flat. Our pet is a dwarf rabbit called ‘Trufa’.

I have been working as a teacher for 19 years. Nowadays, I work in a school with about 700 students.

I like traveling with my family and friends, cooking, riding my bike and practicing yoga.

My name is Katherine Veras, I was born in the Dominican Republic, I graduated in accounting, I am married and have 3 children. In 2005 I entered the United States, from there I began to work voluntarily with the children's ministry, collaborating in different departments. I feel happy when I know that I can serve others.

My name is Nancy Dunlap and I live in Natick, MA. I have a 20 year old son named Jake, and 3 daughters; Samantha is 11, Kayla is 12 and Ava is 19. I also have a Golden Retriever named Bo Jackson who is sometimes too smart for his own good. My favorite place in the world is our beach cottage on West Island. West Island is a secret little island in Buzzard’s Bay that is mainly forests, wetlands, trails and beaches that has the most beautiful sunsets and brings everyone in my family together in the summertime.

I graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree from Framingham State University and my Masters in Education from Bridgewater State University. I love being a teacher and am looking forward to working at Barbieri Elementary School and meeting all my new students.

My name is Rebecca Salguero and it is my pleasure to be the Wraparound Coordinator for Barbieri Elementary School. I have been in the district for 2 years now and I’m excited to continue my work with the wonderful students and families of Framingham. I completed my Bachelors of Psychology with a minor in Spanish at Framingham State University. I have worked in many different educational settings for several years, which has allowed me to gain diverse experience. I enjoy volunteering in El Salvador, the country where my family is from, as well as a local animal sanctuary in Sherborn, MA. In my free time you’ll find me with my family, using my green thumb, or watching Netflix with my dog Augustus.

I’m so excited to be a part of the team and I can’t wait to connect with all of you :)
