Tecumseh Brief Summary

Tecumseh was a Native American chief of the Shawnee tribe. He was born in 1768 in Ohio. His father was killed in 1774 by white people who were violating a treaty by coming on the Shawnee land. Tecumseh decided at that time to become a solider/warrior and defend his land and people. At the age of 15, he became part of a group of warriors who protected invasion of their land by attacking flatboats that were traveling from Pennsylvania by the Ohio River. Tecumseh and his family moved multiple times due to having their village raided by George Rogers Clark and his warriors.

Sir Tecumseh wanted all of the Indian Tribes to join together and defeat the Americans. His dream was not fulfilled so he sided with the British.

Tecumseh's Death

Tecumseh's Death took place in The Battle Of The Thames. Tecumseh was shot by William Henry Harrison. But before he was died, he was a warrior. Tecumseh sided with the British and his clan and fought the war against the U.S. His Brave Remarks and his braveness is still remembered in Canada. Obviously the British think they won and the Americans don't even remember that they where in the war.

The Battle of the Thames , also known as the Battle of Moraviantown, was a American victory in the war of 1812 against the British and Tecumseh. It took place on October 5, 1813, near present-day Chatham, Ontario in Upper Canada.
