Romeo: External Conflict
People should avoid violence or suffer the consequences.
Act III, Scene I
In Romeo and Juliet, Romeo's consequence for killing Tybalt was,"' Immediately we do exile him hence'" (Shakespeare 1051). The prince was stating that for Romeo's act of violence, his consequence was to be exiled from Verona.
Act III, Scene !
After killing Tybalt. Benvolio is angry with Romeo because he will either be killed or exiled for what he did because in the play is says, "'Romeo, away, be gone! The citizens are up, Tybalt slain. Stand not amazed. The Prince will doom thee to death If thou art taken. Hence, be gone, away!'"
