Teacher Appreciation Week May 2-6

The PTO invites students and parents to participate in a week-long celebration to show our appreciation for the teachers and staff at Cottage Grove Elementary. Below is a list of optional themed activity days to keep the celebration going throughout the week and share how much we appreciate the incredible work they do.

Monday - Thank your teacher(s) – help your child write a letter or fill out a form about their teacher(s) – ideas and free printables are linked below (complete at home and bring in on Monday)

Tuesday - Wear your teacher’s favorite color

Wednesday - Make something for your teacher(s) – encourage your child to draw, color or create artwork, bead or knot a bracelet, write a poem, create a yarn and noodle necklace, there are so many fun ways to create a gift to say “thank you” (complete at home and bring in on Wed.)

Thursday - Thank a former teacher, a staff member or specialist – encourage your child to say thank you and show their appreciation for another teacher or staff member that supports them

Friday - Parents email – let’s fill up their inboxes with emails showing our appreciation or write a note to simply say “thank you

SOAR – SoWashCo Online Academic Resource

This self-paced, nine-week online course begins June 13 for grades 1-8

Help stop summer learning loss! This online summer course will help your child maintain math and/or reading skills this summer. South Washington County Schools teachers have developed an online summer course to help students going into grades 1-8 to preview grade level curriculum for the next school year.

· Lessons take between 30-45 minutes each week

· New lessons open on Mondays at 8 a.m.

  • Tuesday, May 10th - Culver's Night 5-7pm
