2022 National Honor Society Banquet
Thank you to Mary LeMaster for the work in giving students and families such an outstanding National Honor Society banquet. Thank you to Ryan Ourada for delivering a terrific message. Thank you to Bryan Schallock for cooking the beef for the meal.
Winter Apparel Donations
- Thank you to Kristen Tienor for the donation of winter hats and snow pants.
- Thank you to Deb Mackowski for the donation of winter jackets.
Breakfast With Santa
- Bryan Schallock brought an idea to the board about the wood that was cleaned up at the school forest. Bucky Daily is willing to show the students how to saw the logs into lumber, and also show them how to kiln dry the lumber. The lumber could then be used in the wood shop class.
- Both Principals gave an update on behavior and also attendance.
- High School Principal Josh Jaeger informed the board of a project that the middle school/ high school staff has created called the Angels List. A project targeted to have no kid left behind and create strong bonds between staff members and students.
- Director of Curriculum Ryan Ourada updated the board on the state report card. Ryan explained the report card very well and also informed the board on the steps they are taking to improve the areas that need improving. He also highlighted the areas that the school is excelling in.
- Director of Pupil Services Kyle Barber gave the board an update on the Kids Get Ahead Initiative, the funds are to be used by the end of 2024. They have looked into mental health grants.The Forest County Potowatomi are hoping to provide the district with a mental health counselor in the near future.
- Josh Jaeger gave an update on Act 143. On October 21st, Forest County Sheriffs Dept. and Crandon Area Rescue Squad came to the school to provide training to the staff on active threat procedures and review of safety plans. The School District of Crandon's Safety Committee worked together over the last few months to make sure this training was provided to our district. We thank everyone involved, especially our first responders for providing this opportunity.
- Jasee Novak, our school nurse presented " Sharing Tables" which is an effort to reduce the amount of food waste, encourage the consumption of food served, and serve as an additional food resource for students in need. Students will be allowed to place unconsumed food and beverage items in their designated "Sharing Table" bin daily, during meal times. This will be closely monitored by an approved staff member.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that at an election to be held in the School District of Crandon, on Tuesday, April 4, 2023. The following office(s) are to be elected to succeed the present incumbents listed. The term of office for school board member is three (3) years beginning on Monday, April 24, 2023.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN, that a Campaign Registration Statement and a Declaration of Candidacy, must be filed no later than 5:00 p.m., on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, in the District Office of the School District of Crandon.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN, that if a primary is necessary, the primary will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2023. Electors will vote in their regular polling places.
