Welcome to my Cannon Classroom Blog!
Just a thoughts and reminders I would like to share.
MATH!!
We have been hard at work practicing and mastering our multiplication facts!! Remember, the more you practice, the faster you will be!! Each student should have brought home a packet with math games, apps, math chart, etc. If you do not have a copy, please let me or one of the 4th grade teachers know and we will get it home to you!
4th grade has also been reviewing Place Value, and Written, Expanded, and Standard form. Please remember to have your child do their nightly math homework! They check it every Friday in class. Your child is welcome to come into my room between 7:15 and 7:35 to ask questions if he/she does not understand. I am also here if your child would like to come early to practice and/or review!
SPELLING!
This week in Spelling, we began reviewing the K-2 sight words. Your child can access these words on their iPad using the Spelling City app. We will continue reviewing the K-2 words, we will include the 3rd Grade sight words, and finally, we will work our way up to the K-4 sight words. All of these will be added to your child's homeroom teacher's Spelling City Login.
WRITING!
On Tuesday, we will begin our Writing! This week, the students reviewed the writing process and the difference between a Narrative and an Expository. They will begin planning on Tuesday for their Narrative.
