ENSC Weekly Notes

May 16, 2016

One more time.....

I know, I know. I told you last week would be the last ENSC Weekly Notes. I couldn't help myself. Smore added a few new fonts and I just had to try one out.

2016 Recognition Dinner

Please plan to attend the 2016 Retirement and Teacher of the Year Recognition Event. We have several people retiring and also our Teacher of the Year candidates who will be honored. It is a very special evening for each of these people and having you in attendance will make it even more special!

Reservations are due Monday...May 16.

ENMS Building Progress

Andy Deming and the middle school staff have been refining plans for the building. In addition, Brian Leitch has been working with the architects, engineers, and the city to ensure the land is "perfect" and ready to break ground in late summer.

During the June 15 Board meeting, the architects will be requesting permission to take bids on the project. Before doing that, they will be providing the Board members with drawings, plans, and bid options.

We are on track for occupancy in July 2018.

50th Season Celebration of East Noble Theatre

Don't forget to order your tickets for Craig Munk's final theater magic on June 11 at 1 p.m. or 5 p.m. followed by a Celebration Party at 8:30. Tickets can be purchased through the Box Office May 23 - 27 and June 6 - 10. Tickets are $15 for the performance and $25 for the Party.

Staff T-Shirt Order

Don't forget to order your 2016 ENSC T-Shirt. Your shirt will be ready to give to you before school begins in August. Perhaps it will be our August 2 "uniform" for the day!

By the way......the shirts are not printed yet. Any ideas what design you would like to see on the front?

Chautauqua Days Parade in Rome City

August 6 is the Chautauqua Days Parade and ENSC would like to have as many ENSC staff members walk in the parade as possible. Please mark this event on your calendar. The parade begins at 4:30 p.m. and is realitively short! It is fun for you and fun for our many kids who line the streets to see you!

Standards Based Gradebooks

If you are interested in using a standards based gradebook with your students next school year, please contact your building principal by Wednesday, May 18.

ENHS Graduation

Sunday, June 5 is the East Noble High School Graduation. All of you are invited and encouraged to attend. It such an amazing day to watch these students cross the stage with big smiles, high hopes for a rewarding future, and joyous proud parents in the audience.

I hope to see all of you at 2 p.m. on June 5 at the East Noble High School gymnasium.
