Welcome Forest Lake Panthers!

We would like to give a huge WELCOME to our new families and a huge WELCOME BACK to all of our returning families! It was such a wonderful summer and we hope you were able to participate in a lot of adventurous activities and spend quality time with family and friends. We are very excited to start this school year! We know it will be filled with lots of fun and learning.

This year at Forest Lake we are happy to be welcoming the following new staff members to our team: Annissa Clute – Pre-K, Stephanie Goodin – 1st grade, Kera Frey – 3rd grade, Cheri Dinizo - 4th grade, Christina Sills – 5th grade, Alexis Keller – K-2nd gifted, Rebecca Strunks – 4th/5th gifted, Karina Pena – ESE Intermediate, Martha Doucette – ESE support facilitation, Jenine Greig – ESE paraprofessional, Belkis Pineyro-Wiggins - Speech teacher, Kareena Moses - Speech teacher, and Taylar Caysonis – Speech paraprofessional.

Thank you to all of the parents and guardians who attended our “Meet the Teacher” event. Your continuous support is very much appreciated! Our first School Advisory Council (SAC) Meeting was held on Thursday, September 10th at 2:30PM in the media center. Our annual Title I meeting was on Wednesday, September 23rd at 5:30 PM in the cafeteria. Open House immediately followed from 6:00PM – 7:30PM. Thank you to all of our Forest Lake families that attended and helped make this a successful night.

At this time, we would like to include a few reminders of our policies and procedures:
Our day begins at 7:50AM; please make sure your child is at school on time.
As always, our countywide school dress code is in effect. All shirts should cover the shoulders. Thin spaghetti straps and basketball jerseys are not acceptable. All pants and shorts should cover the entire bottom. Saggy pants and short shorts are not acceptable. Please be sure to wear sneakers on physical education days.

When dropping off and picking up your child, be sure to use the parent pickup loop. Please pull all the way forward and load and unload on the passenger side only. Remember to have your student pick-up identification number visible on your dashboard. If you need to load or unload on the driver’s side, please pull into a parking spot. Also remember to cross at the guarded crosswalk.

All visitors must check-in at the front office and have a valid reason for being on campus. Parents are allowed to eat lunch with their children at the picnic tables located by the front of the cafeteria. Please remember to wait at designated areas only. Parents are not allowed to wait in front of the classrooms or open court areas.
In closing, we would like to thank you in advance for helping us provide a safe learning environment for all of our students. It is with your support that we are able to achieve academic success! We look forward to another exciting year here at Forest Lake Elementary!

Sincerely,
