It's a great way to connect real time with your colleagues and see some best practices in action.
Once signed up with our team, you'll see some categories on the left that you're automatically subscribed to. We've added some others too like our CAHPERD category where you can see some of the learning we were able to capture (and Terence and Andrew dancing).

Move It
Move It is the random brain break & exercise generator that is a Chrome extension and an app as well (links are below).
When on, it automatically pops up with a quick brain break idea. No "snooze" here - it won't go away until you press "done." Don't worry, it won't know whether or not you did it :).
So why Brain Breaks?
Well, Brain Breaks are a quick and effective way of changing or re-focusing the physical and mental state of the learners in your group. They are also a useful tool for students to use to help activate, energize and stimulate their brains. Research indicates that brain breaks also improve students’ concentration and relieve stress.
So with that being said Introducing the mobile app version of “Move It”, which is based on the popular 7 minute workout trend. At the end of the day It’s a simple way to get students moving with equipment free exercises designed to get the blood flowing and the wiggles out.

Galaxies
Where do they start each PE lesson?
Galaxies allows your students to know where to start each lesson. Perhaps they line up in nine lines, with each line leader facing the line as the "planet." It may be polyspots on the ground or work with an Eagle scout and your administrator to get painted stars on the blacktop.

The Physical Educator
I had a chance to meet Joey Feith, the Physical Educator, at the Elementary PE Workshop this past summer in San Luis Obispo. He has great insight on effective teaching and passion for the subject. Check out his website, which also contains a nice, updated blog and resources to further help integrate your teaching.
