A School to Emulate

Memorial Elementary Bobcat Bulletin 11-2 through 11-6-15

Push Through

We are approaching the time of the year when there is a long stretch until a much needed break. You might begin to feel drained and it becomes difficult to see the cup as half full. Perhaps the extra hour of sleep from daylights savings will help. Be sure to find ways to balance your work life with your home life. The students are taking their cues from you and you want to leave a positive mark. Also, keep yourselves healthy. There are a few "bugs" going around and this is a good time to wipe down your keyboards, mouses, cabinet handles, phone, etc.

Great news!!! First Christian Church approved a donation of $30k to transform our library space into a state of the art "Learning Hub!" We need your help. If you are interested in being a part of the campus-wide planning committee click the link and complete the brief 4 question survey. It should take you no longer than 5 minues.

If you ordered 2015 -2016 PPA spirit wear you can begin wearing jeans with a PPA spirit shirt of your choice on Monday. Embroidered spirit wear arrived late Friday and was placed in your mailboxes. All other spirit wear will arrive within the next two weeks.

Tuesday, November 3rd is the 50th day of school. Let's celebrate! I challenge you to get creative and dress up in anything that represents the number 50. What thinking could you generate from your students by what you choose to wear?

There is quite a partnership between Memorial and Barron this week. Sara will be the acting administrator at Barron Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday while the Principal is at camp. I will be doing a staff training at Barron Tuesday after school on our walkthrough form and process. So if you see me recording you on Monday...don't fear :) You might just show up on my training video. Lastly, our 2nd Momentous training is Thursday at Barron Elementary at 3:30 pm. All professional staff are expected to be in attendance. Please see me or Sara if you discover you need support working through a conflict.

Thanks everyone and let's have a wonderful week!

That's HILARIOUS! Send your funnies my way...

A kinder teacher overheard a student reciting the alphabet and heard, “H, I, J, K, eleven, elbow, P…”
