Happy Advent, Team! Forgiveness

Good evening! We enter into our Advent Week of Peace. Today's Gospel prepares us for the importance of Christ coming to forgive our sins. What are ways you are forgiving yourself in this frenetic time of year? What are ways you are allowing the peace of Christ to enter your heart?

God willing, I will be there to lead Monday prayer for Advent Week 2.

Please be at prayer at 7:45AM sharp tomorrow for our opening Advent prayer. I will be leading each Monday of Advent to kick us off and our leaders will take over Tuesday to Friday.

Thank you! See you manana!

Team Meeting MOVED to 12/10

Tuesday, Dec. 10th, 3:45-5pm

Our team meeting is moved to 12/10. We will go over Our Lady of Guadalupe Mass, School Christmas Concert and more. Agenda to follow.

Reminders and Updates

  • Be sure to teach about Our Lady of Guadalupe and her importance before Thursday. I have attached some lessons and refreshers for you.
  • Please have your students color or draw their own image of Our Lady of Guadalupe to bring to Mass on Thursday. PreK to 2nd Grade, please make yours into a head piece---I'll show you an example at our Team Meeting and put it in the Lounge tomorrow. Decorate however your kiddos want--feathers, glitter, just crayon, go crazy! 3rd to 8th grade, please have students make a piece of paper sized flag or just an image to carry. Her image and understanding each part of it get the historical and spiritual significance of why she is the patroness of the Americas. Please see me or Mrs. Ortiz if you need any lesson supports!
  • We will discuss the events for the rest of the semester at our team meeting and model a very brief Our Lady of Guadalupe Lesson.
