Phasmids are fantastic creatures of the animal kingdom
Why phasmids should be protected!
We definitely believe that phasmids should be protected because they are harmless to humans and other animals. Phasmids are not predators to anything. Unfortunately, they are only prey to other animals such as birds, snakes, lizards, possums and sugar gliders.
They are a special creature that are perfect as a pet! Especially for little children. They are great for the classroom so students can see and study their features, eating habits and life cycle.
Info about phasmids
Phasmids are herbivores as they love eating oak, eucalyptus and rose bushes. Also, they use camouflage to hide from predators.
They look like a leaf or stick.
Phasmids prefer to live in warm, tropical climates where it is humid and there is a good amount of rainfall.

this is one of the many animals who likes to eat phasmids .(eg) like: birds, possums, and many others!
Habitat
This can be one of there homes. ( behind the leaves)
Not a place for them to live!
this is not a place for them to live because it is very dry and they are used to tropical habitats.
Cutting down trees
Cutting down trees is a threat because it is destroying stick and spiny leafs homes.
THREAT- Chopping down trees
Trees are very important to phasmids because they help them to live and grow. They need trees for their survival.
The consequenses are....
> destroying their food (eucalyptus leaves )
> homes( trees ).
> no where to camouflage to protect themselves.
Ideas to stop this threat!
Put signs on the trees( EG ) THIS TREE IS NOT AVAILIBLE TO BE CHOPPED DOWN!
Tell the people the consequences of this threat ( chopping down trees )
Make a speech to persuade the audience to care about them and their habitat.
