2. Olivia refused to succumb to the TV, as she was determined to keep the bet of no TV for a month with her father.
3. However, Olivia eventually lost the bet with her father as she succumber to the TV's temptations in order to watch the Oscars.
4. As much as I wanted to succumb to the temptation of walking, I was determined to keep running until I finished the mile.
