AHS Counseling Update
March - April 2020
Dual Credit Enrollment for 2020-2021
- Crowder College - a representative will be here to enroll students on April 8th
- Missouri Southern State University - a representative will be here to enroll students on April 15th
- Drury University - students will meet one on one with their counselor to enroll in late April
Be reminded that there are some ACT admissions requirements for dual credit courses. If you would like to start taking dual credit classes and have not taken the ACT we encourage you to get registered for the June 13th test date by registering prior to the deadline on May 8th. You can register for the ACT by visiting actstudent.org.
Students who will be taking seated dual credit courses for next year will enroll when we return in August.
We are very excited to begin a partnership with Missouri Southern for next year. Not only are their fees per credit hour ($50 per credit hour) and textbook rental ($14 per credit hour) very reasonable but they are also very generously offering classes to our students who qualify for free or reduced lunch at NO COST! You read that correctly! Students who qualify for free or reduced lunch may take up to 6 hours per semester (summer, fall and spring) at no charge for the coursework.
If you would like to pick up a free and reduced price meals application, please contact the office.
