Meridian Middle School
Update for October 2, 2020
FROM THE PRINCIPAL
At MMS, our students know that PRIDE stands for perseverance, responsibility, integrity, determination, and excellence. Our students, parents, teachers, and staff have persevered and continue to do so to make every day better than the day before. It has not been easy and the learning curve has been steep, but the qualities of PRIDE are gaining strength.
I'm happy to announce that we have scheduled four evenings for Online Learning Support on October 13, 14, 20, and 21. These evenings are sponsored by our Title 1 program. We'll even feed you pizza! We want to help our parents and families become more familiar and successful with Teams on the at-home learning days. Please click on the link below for further information.
Important Reminders:
- Please remind your student to bring their laptop and access badge on their at school days.
- If you are keeping a student home due to COVID-19 symptoms and/or quarantine, please report that to the Attendance Line at 855-4230 or to Nurse Daley at 855-4245.
- If you have a student tested for COVID-19 and you get a negative result, please bring documentation to Nurse Daley so the student can return to school.
I hope you all have a nice weekend. Please call or email me with your ideas and concerns.
Lisa Austin, Principal

Title 1 at Meridian Middle School
Everyone entering the school is required to wear a mask or an appropriate face covering. Physical distancing will be required in the auditorium during the presentation. In compliance with the current guidelines, we will limit each event to 100 participants.
Questions may be directed to Amanda Dickson, Title 1 Teacher, at dickson.amanda@westada.org. We look forward to seeing you there! Click below to sign-up.
IMPORTANT NEW VISITING PROCEDURES FOR PARENTS
If you bring an item that your student NEEDS for school (device, binder, lunch), please come to the front door and press the button for assistance. You will tell the office staff member why you are there. You will leave the item in the basket provided. Please leave the student's name on the item. Post-it notes and a pen are in the basket for you. A staff member or a student office aide will retrieve the item and deliver it as soon as possible to the student. WE WILL NOT DELIVERY UNNECESSARY ITEMS.
