The HHS Academies Booster Club will be having a general meeting on Wednesday, September 18th from 6-7 pm in the HHS Library. Please join the booster club to learn about how to join as well as updates from the Academy Coordinators. This will be a joint meeting with DMA and MedSci.

#ThinkBeforeYouPost - PSA Contest

The FBI’s It’s Not A Joke #ThinkBeforeYouPost campaign aims at ending hoax threats by educating our community youth regarding the consequences of making hoax threats against schools.

We are inviting high school students, from around the greater Houston area, to create a video PSA encouraging students to refrain from making hoax threats.

YWE 2020 Fall Academic Scholarship Application is now OPEN

Deadline for Scholarship Applications October 20, 2019

Eligible applicants are female, graduating high school seniors from the Greater Houston area with exemplary academic records and demonstrated leadership potential. Eligible applicants must plan to attend an Accredited Four Year University or Accredited Two Year Community College in the Fall after the award is made. Proof of registration must be presented to WEN’s scholarship panel prior to disbursement of awards.

Opening Reception: Moon Shot

Join the Moody for the opening of Moon Shot, celebrating creativity inspired by moon exploration. For the first time, Robert Rauschenberg’s Stoned Moon series of 34 lithographs will be shown together since their creation in 1969-70. The exhibition will also feature Andy Warhol’s iconic Moonwalk (1987), Laurie Anderson’s virtual reality work To the Moon (2018), co-created with Hsin-Chien Huang, and notable works by Siah Armajani, Nancy Graves, Rachel Rose, Katy Schimert and Michelle Stuart.

Complimentary bites and beverages will be served.

Parents we want you involved at school! Be sure to complete the FBISD Criminal History Application so that you can volunteer at events and on field trips. Parent support is essential to student success and we LOVE having you at school and involved! If you have not renewed your membership with our Booster Club, you can do so online. Our Booster Club is a key component of our success. It is essential that each of our families join every year!
