From the Principal's Desk
While we had a few bumps, the first week of school was pretty good. During the school day students are engaging in learning activities designed to get to know students and to establish routines and expectations. Students have been sharing what they did over the summer as well as what they are looking forward to this school year. It has been an exciting first week and I am looking forward to all our students will learn academically and socially this school year.
I hope you have a wonderful holiday weekend. I look forward to seeing you on Tuesday when we return to school.

Arrival Procedure
- Keep with the flow of traffic.
- Drop off takes place at the circle. We know you want to avoid the line, but this is creating another backup as cars are trying to come out of the loop.
- You do not have to park. Cars attempting to pull out is also creating a backup. Drop off in the loop and we have staff ready to receive students.
- Consider dropping off at the back of the school.
Drop-Off Time
Students do not begin entering the building until 7:30. Please do not drop your students off before 7:30. I understand that parents are attempting to avoid the drop off line, but staff are not on duty to monitor students until 7:30.

Dismissal Procedure
Early dismissal ends at 1:30. No students will be released after 1:30pm. Please plan accordingly. We begin our dismissal process inside the school at approximately 1:40, therefore we need all students in place to ensure a smooth dismissal.
Please make sure your student knows if they are to dismiss as a walker or car rider.
- Car riders all go to the cafeteria and will only be dismissed to parents who are in a car in the car loop.
- Students with pre k or kindergarten siblings who are being pick up should dismiss with the walkers. Pre K and Kindergarten students are dismissed to an adult from the pre k and Kindergarten doors.
- If you are driving and picking up a Pre K or Kindergarten student, do not park in the loop. Park in a parking spot and walk to the pick up location.
- A walker is someone who is walking home from school (exception- siblings of Prek and K students being picked up). Walkers (1st - 5th) will be dismissed out the doors in the front of the school.
