Have a great weekend!

COVID-19 Information:
If your child receives a positive COVID-19 test result, please go to the parent self-report link below to enter the student ID number. Entering the date of onset of symptoms will give you the return to school date, which is a 5-day isolation period.
This will enter your student into the COVID Absence App for the excused absence during the 5 day isolation period.
Students who are directly exposed to someone who tests positive for COVID-19 are not required to quarantine. Masks are not required upon return to school after the 5-day isolation.
This website offers a brief illustration of coverage offered through the Texas Kids First K-12 Student Accident Insurance Program https://www.texaskidsfirst.com/
After school playground reminders... Due to safety reasons a parent or guardian is required to monitor their students while playing after dismissal on the playground. Students are not allowed to return to the building after dismissal to use the clinic restroom.
Thank you for all the generous donations!

National School Counseling Week February 6th - February 10th
The purpose of National School Counseling Week is to highlight the unique contributions that School Counselors bring to our school system. See below for some facts about School Counselors and what we do.
The correct title for us is “School Counselor”. Guidance Counselor was a given name for a counselor that focused solely on class selection and career path. School Counselors do that and so much more! Our education and training in counseling strategies helps us grow our students' social and emotional skills. We counsel, we teach and we advocate for our students everyday!
The American School Counselor Association (ASCA) provides standards for us to teach. These standards fall into three categories: personal/social, academic and career.
We are so fortunate to be the school counselors for Bush Elementary and appreciate the support of our faculty and parents.. We believe we are “better together” and enjoy working with Bush families and staff to support our students in achieving school success. Click here for more information on counseling in CISD. Click here to visit the Counselor’s Corner on the Bush website. Feel free to contact us by phone or email if you have any questions.
Random Acts of Kindness week is February 13th - 17th!
Our theme this year is “Kindness is Blooming at Bush”. Students will be encouraged to perform random acts of kindness to brighten their school and community. We will be celebrating acts of kindness by recognizing kind acts and adding them to our kindness tree. Stop by the library window to see how our kindness tree begins blooming during Random Acts of Kindness week.
We will be showing kindness in our community by collecting items to support Interfaith. More information will be in our next banner!

Safety Information
The safety of our students and staff is of the utmost importance. Over the past decade, Conroe ISD has spent millions of dollars on a layered approach to campus safety including the installation of secure entrances and vestibules along with adding security cameras throughout our schools. Our greatest safety measure, however, is vigilance. Please report any suspicious activity or suspected dangers to the appropriate authorities. Anonymous reports may be made 24/7 to Conroe ISD’s KidChat hotline at 1-888-KidChat (543-2428) or through our new Anonymous Alerts app. Login: conroeisd
