Weekly Instructional Focus
As we near the end of the first nine weeks, students should be able to complete the writing process for a personal narrative. We are finishing the first cycle of a personal narrative, and will finish the second this week.
Social Studies:
We will continue to learn about the geography of Texas, the first Texans (Native Americans), and Texas European exploration.
Homework (There was a mix up with copying so the homework is the same as last week...I just told the students to do it again this week.)
Writing~ Complete Day 1 on the Write For Today worksheet. ( I didn't get the copies in enough time to give them the sheet today, but they will receive it tomorrow.)
Spelling~Write spelling words five times each.
Tuesday:
Writing~ Complete Day 2 of the Write for Today worksheet
Spelling~Use each spelling word in a simple sentence.
Wednesday:
Writing~ Complete Day 3 of the Write for Today worksheet
Spelling~ Write words in alphabetical order.
Thursday:
Writing~ Complete Day 4 of the Write for Today worksheet
Spelling~Written Practice test.

Upcoming Events
October 9th is early release and parent/teacher conference.
October 12th is Columbus Day/Student Holiday
October 16th is the end of the first nine weeks
October 29th is the fourth grade field trip to Bayou Wildlife Zoo in Alvin, TX.
**If you are interested in being a chaperon, please make sure your go to www.fortbendisd.com and fill out a volunteer form. FYI...You will be responsible for your own transportation and admission to the Wildlife Zoo.
