Lantern Floating Ceremony

From Hiroshima to Hope @ Green Lake

Community members come together at Green Lake to create lanterns, write calligraphy, and listen to speakers to promote peace in memory of victims of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima/Nagasaki and all victims of violence and war. The speakers and activities promote peace, non-violent conflict resolution and nuclear disarmament at this annual, public outdoor event.
When: Saturday, August 6th

Meet up time/location: Meet at the George Washington Statue @ 5pm

Who can go: Students, community members, anyone- all ages welcome

What to bring: U-pass for the bus, money for food and drinks, warm clothes, and a camera to capture the event!
