We also have guest readers throughout the day to visit classrooms! These guest readers cannot wait to celebrate the joy of reading with you.
Students, remember there are a few guidelines for your costumes:
Costumes should be safe and not a distraction (no masks, head gear).
Be creative and have fun!
If you have it, bring the book that features your character with you.
We are looking for individuals from the community to participate virtually using webex as guest readers and share their favorite book in a classroom. If you are interested, or know someone who is, please contact our librarian, Tricia Burton BurtonT@lisd.net

Child Nutrition Changes
A message from our Child Nutrition Department: As of October 1st, ALL LISD students may receive free breakfast and/or lunch. There is no application process and no qualifiers. This program will be in effect until December 31st or the grant funds are depleted. There is a current plan to attempt to receive this benefit throughout the school year, but that has not been confirmed.
Additionally, virtual students may visit ANY curbside site in LISD for the free meals regardless of where they are registered.
Level Orange - Parents and Visitors in the School
Level Orange procedures (due to Covid 19 precautions):
No parents or visitors are allowed to eat lunch with students.
No outside lunch may be brought into the school.
No cupcakes may be brought in for birthday parties.
We regret these procedures; however, safety is our primary concern.
Additional Day School Year” (ADSY) program.
Dear Parents,
Lewisville Elementary and Rockbrook Elementary are in the Phase I planning process of the “Additional Day School Year” (ADSY) program. This program would give these schools the opportunity to redesign each school day and lengthen the school year to enrich the learning for their students, and create more time for teacher collaboration and professional learning. Your feedback is greatly appreciated and important to this planning process. Thank you for your time in completing this survey.
