Crazy Doc's rant and raves...
- Deployment is today at 1:30. You can send devices home as your timeline allows.
- Please make sure your lunch bag is on the breakfast cart, even if it is empty.
- Terri will no longer be calling for students to come get the bags, she is devising a new plan.
- With the assembly next week, I will not be creating a seating chart as in years past. I do ask that your students sit to the halfway point of the gym and you have multiple lines, instead of one class all the way across the gym.
- Thank your for a wonderful start to the new school year, I can each of you working to embrace the new students and the new challenges that comes with them.
Teacher Spotlight
A huge shout out to Terri, Cindy, Karin, Chris, Derek, and Robert for all of the hours put in to make sure everything was ready for the staff when they came back and class lists stayed up to date.
Do you have a idea for a person in the spotlight? Please let me know.
From Misty
I grew up in Southeast Missouri in a small town with graduating class of 62. We lived on 300 acres, where I was expected to help on the family farm. I graduated and played college basketball for three years at Missouri Baptist University in the St. Louis area. Decided to transfer to Missouri State with a friend and met my husband in Principals of Hunting and Fishing class. My husband and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary this summer in Nashville. We have two kiddos Cannon, age 6 who attends David Harrison, and Kinley, age 4. A little over a year ago, we moved from our Springfield home and to our home on 12 acres in the Bois D’ Arc area. We enjoy outdoor recreation and summers at the beach!
I began my educational career at Reed Academy in 2006 as a paraprofessional while working to complete my degree from Missouri State University. The following year I began my teaching career at Hillcrest High School teaching and supporting students who require special education services. While teaching at Hillcrest I also coached freshman girls basketball and girls golf. In 2014, I accepted a position in the special education district office as an Instructional Coach and Process Coordinator. My Master’s degree is from Missouri State University in the area of Special Education. I graduated this past May from Lindenwood University with my specialist in Educational Administration.
On-Going Reminders
- If you send a student to the focus room please do so with one of the tickets Casey has provided, that way she knows why they are there. If they do not have a ticket they will be sent back to class.
- Please follow the nurse's stoplight schedule.
- If you send a student to the office please make sure they have a pass.
- Please make sure you are not sending large printing jobs to the basic printers, please send these to the copiers.
- Lunch counts and attendance need to be entered by 9:30, or Terri will start calling.
Recycling
- Mrs. Earls will take this over this year. A schedule will be shared soon, but it will only be the days she is here.
