Winter Formal
Winter Formal will be held on January 6, 2023 at the Richmond Hill City Center from 7-10pm. A limited number of tickets will be available and students will need to apply to have a ticket loaded to their MyPaymentsPlus account. Tickets will not be loaded for students on Obligations List until they are clear of their obligation. Obligations include owed detentions, missing paperwork, unpaid fines or previous year class dues. Advisors regularly share Obligations List status with students but students can ask any teacher to check OL to verify if they are clear or not. ASVAB Registration
• It is a cost-free and comprehensive program for high school students.
• Students explore occupations in line with interests and skills, and develop strategies to realize career goals.
• The Program presents a full-spectrum of career opportunities to students.
• Career planning tool regardless of post-secondary intentions.

GSU Writing Contest
Georgia Southern University is once again be holding its annual high school writing contest. Check out all of the details HERE. Submissions are free and students are encouraged to submit in multiple categories.The deadline for submissions is Monday, February 13 by 5 PM.
Winners and at least one runner-up in the following four categories: Creative Writing, Linguistics, Rhetoric & Composition, and Professional & Technical Writing.
Winners and runners-up in each category will be published in a special high school edition of GSU's Fledge Magazine and be invited to read at the Annual Spring Writing Awards Ceremony (via Zoom).
