ELA Update

We will begin our 5th Anthology this week. Please continue to practice reading each night as well as reviewing the high frequency words. This will help your child's reading skills. As the weather gets nice, a fun spelling activity is to write with sidewalk chalk or a wet paintbrush on the driveway.

MATH Update

We are working through Unit 6. Learning addition and subtraction facts and how they relate to one another is a big topic in this unit. You will hear things like "Fact Families" and "Fact Triangles" as key words being used. Your child should continue practicing his/her math facts. It is the goal to know both addition and subtraction facts by the end of the year. We will continue to do Math Facts 2-3 times each week and I will send them home at the end of the week, unless they pass their fact during the week.

We will be learning about clouds and weather this month. We will also discuss the signs of Spring and touch on St. Patrick's Day.

It is our hope that the children can go out to recess. Please have your child prepared for at least 15-30 minutes of out door play daily.

We are in need of gluesticks, tissues and lysol wipes. If you are interested in sending any of these item to school, it is greatly appreciated.
