Tech Hubs and Interest Pods

Edendale Middle School would like to begin offering a DSAL Learning Pod and technical hub for students.

The DSAL Learning Pod will provide students with some academic support and stable internet connection. In addition, students will be able to participate in enrichment activities likes sports and art, supervised by staff. Lunch will be provided on site. The DSAL Learning Pod will operate Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 8am-4pm.

A Tech Hub will offer technical support access to stable internet connection. Tech Hubs would run Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:15- 12:30.

An Interest Pod would be similar to a school club and occur after school hours and would be supervised by school staff. A game or garden pod are examples.

For Learning Pods, Tech Hubs and Interest Pods, safety protocols will be in place. Masks and social distancing are required. Small, stable cohorts of 14 students each and up to 2 adults are allowed. There will be assigned drop off and pick up spots and daily screening for symptoms. We would love to be able to offer these to students, but need your input. Please take a moment to complete the survey below so we can have a clear understanding of your needs.
