ICCS Mission Statement:
PRINCIPAL'S CORNER
Dear ICCS Families,
Last week, I wrote about our ICCS PTO Dinner Auction and the support and generous donations of time, talent, and funds that were contributed by so many of our ICCS community members and the auction team leading up to the event. I am thrilled to report this week that it certainly was a groovy auction night filled with peace and love from our valued ICCS supporters. We would first like to thank all of our parents, guests, and stakeholders who attended and/or supported us by helping us to raise valuable funds through the silent auction, live auction, event sponsorship, raise-the-paddle to fund our art program, and the Sweet Shop. Your overwhelming support enabled us to bring in record number auction funds to continue to provide excellent educational opportunities, experiences, curriculum, technology, and important enhancements for the benefit of our ICCS learners. In addition to our parents, guests, and stakeholders, I would like to thank the following people for their support and hard work during the ICCS auction:
Katie Devall and Kelly Serrano - 2022 Auction Chairs
Leila Arredondo - 2023 Auction Chair
The auction committee chairs and support volunteers: Meghan Gregory, Lauren Middleton, Colleen Phillips, Elise Foret, Corlissa Hoffoss, Ada O’Quain, Melissa Mathew, Meredith Ardoin, Jennifer Authement, Becky Abel, and Alison Gary.
ICCS faculty and staff who worked the event and/or gifted auction items.
The 8th Grade Class of 2022, who helped serve food, as well as their parents and parent leaders, Monica Devall and Cortney Blalock, who worked so hard to have productive and organized 8th grade participation.
Young Band Nation's AITP band members Trip, Grayson, Anna, and Emmelia for the live welcome music and parents Mark Robertson and Chad Hobgood for their assistance.
Hal Ware and Tad’s Restaurant for catering the event.
Father Rommel for his gift of time, prayer, and support.
Matt Keating, PTO President, for so graciously agreeing to emcee the event.
And, as I said, on auction night, the glue that holds all of our PTO fundraisers, projects, and development of our school together, the one-and-only Mrs. Kay Morgan. Mrs. Kay gives her time and attention to so many important aspects of development for our school day in and day out with boundless energy and a joyful heart. We thank you, Kay, for all that you do!
I am constantly overwhelmed by our panther community and the love you all have for our school was indelibly felt last Friday. Thank you.
Peace, Love, and Panthers,
Blair Moses Tadlock
ICCS Principal
HALF DAY DISMISSAL TOMORROW

APRIL BIRTHDAY MASS TOMORROW
The April Birthday Mass will be celebrated tomorrow, Friday, April 1, at 8:30 a.m. at the Cathedral. Parents are invited to attend. Seating will be limited. Just a reminder, boys must wear pants and girls must wear jumpers or skirts to Mass.
Happy Birthday to all of our students, parents, "Grandpanthers" and faculty members celebrating a birthday in April!
ACT ASPIRE TESTING NEXT WEEK
Third through eighth-grade students will participate in the Diocesan-wide standardized ACT Aspire testing Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of next week. These tests are important in helping us ensure we are successfully serving each of our unique learners appropriately. Individual and class wide data is used to drive curriculum and classroom instruction.
Most imperative during the testing process (besides quiet hallways) is having every student in attendance each day, arriving on time with no scheduled appointments before 11:00 a.m. Standardized tests are tough and while we work hard to prepare our students academically, parents play a very important role in preparing their emotional and physical readiness. Here are a few tips to help your students handle test week successfully:
Explain that the test will show how much they have learned, encouraging them to try their best but without so much pressure that they feel stressed.
Limit activities the night before testing in order to avoid being out late. Be sure your student gets to bed on time and follows an unhurried morning routine.
On testing days, give them an energy-boosting breakfast. Minds work best when stomachs are content.

WELCOME NEW ICCS PANTHER CUB!
Congratulations to the Middleton family on the birth of their new bundle of joy, Charlotte Louise! Baby Charlotte was born yesterday, March 30. She is the daughter of Lauren and Houston Middleton, and baby sister of Quinn, Elisabeth, Liam, and Patrick Middleton.
VIRTUE OF THE MONTH: MAGNIFICENCE
This month, we continue to focus on the virtue of Magnificence. This virtue is not just about doing great things, but about doing them for God. When we practice magnificence, we want everything we do to be for God’s glory, not our own. Do I only do my best so that others will see me and praise me? Or, do I give God the praise for the gifts He has given me?
Dear Jesus, help me to glorify You in all that I do today. You have given me so many good things. Help me to give them all back to You by the way that I use them. I want to praise You with my whole life. Amen
