FLSA Approved!
Now what?
What is the FLSA?
The Fair Labor Standards Act was put in place to insure the safety of workers from abuses in the workplace.
Workers will now be paid a living wage.
By law, employers are required to pay the minimum living wage set by the government. Nothing less of the set wage will be allowed.
Workers will be paid for any overtime work.
If workers work more than the 40 hour work week, they will be paid at a rate that is a time and a half the regularly paid rate.
New laws regarding child labor.
These laws help protect children from dangerous work situations and limit extreme jobs to anyone 18 or older.
