Arrival and Dismissal
- Kinder and first grade students, along with any older siblings, will be dropped off and picked up in the back loop by our gym/cafeteria.
- 2nd through 5th graders will be dropped off and picked up in the front loop by our main doors.
- Doors will open every morning for all students at 7:25, and the late bell will ring at 7:55.
- There will be no crosswalk duty in the front loop. Although you are very welcome to walk your child to his/her classroom this first week, we are asking from the following week on that you stay in your car as you drop off. This will really help us expediate drop off and keep our students safe.
- There will be no walk up pick up in the afternoon for our 2nd through 5th graders. Again, without a cross walk duty and the amount of cars waiting to pick up our students, it is much safer to pick up your child by staying in the cars. Thanks so much.
- There is no parking along Teal in front of our campus. Please use our dismissal lines/map.
- If your child is to walk home, please fill out a walking permission form as soon as you can.
Thanks for understanding. Please do not hesitate in contacting the office with any questions.
Supply Lists
Breakfast and Lunch
Lunch will be eaten in our cafeteria.
Covid-19 Protocols
- Staff and students are welcome to wear masks on campus, but it is not mandatory.
- We will have hand sanitizer in every classroom. Our students and staff will use hand sanitizer entering and exiting classrooms throughout the day.
- Custodians will continue to clean high traffic areas with special sanitizing spray.
- Staff will continue to use the sanitizing spray on desks and chairs throughout the day.
Nothing is more important than keeping each other safe so that we can continue to learn and grow each day at BES. If at any time you have concerns or questions, please do not hesitate to contact our office or principal at the number and email listed above. Thank you so much.
Virtual Learning Option
Keller ISD Families,
KISD is preparing to offer a Virtual Learning Option, dependent upon the passage of SB15 by the Texas Legislature. Senate Bill 15 provides legislation and funding for a temporary virtual school option to begin the 2021-22 school year. If state lawmakers do not amend the current legal requirements regarding virtual learning programs, Keller ISD will not be able to move forward with the Virtual Learning Option for students in grades K-6. At this time, we do not have an indication as to the exact timing of this vote, but we want to be prepared for our families if and when this bill should pass.
If SB15 is approved, Keller ISD will be offering a temporary asynchronous virtual classroom option (no live instruction) for students in grades K-6. This learning environment will allow students to engage in at-home virtual learning, utilizing Keller ISD instructional resources in kindergarten through 6th grade -- ages where COVID-19 vaccinations are not yet available. Students whose parents choose the virtual classroom option would begin the school year on Tuesday, September 7, 2021. This will allow us time to determine parent interest, identify staff, and prepare the curriculum for this program. If the bill does not pass and funding is not available by this date for this option, students will be expected to report to their home campus for in-person learning.
The Keller ISD Virtual Learning Option will be re-evaluated prior to the conclusion of the first nine-week grading period and periodically moving forward. At this time, Bilingual/ESL services will not be available through the temporary Virtual Learning Option.
Applications for K-6 enrollment are now open and will close at 11:59 p.m. on Monday, August 16, 2021. Parents must log into the AERIES Parent Portal and complete the application. Click here for instructions.
Students currently enrolled in Keller ISD must log into the AERIES parent portal.
Students who are not enrolled in Keller ISD must contact your home campus to enroll.
Please visit our website for more information on this Virtual Learning Option. If you have additional questions not addressed on the Virtual Learning Option FAQ, please email VirtualAcademy@KellerISD.net. Emails will be addressed throughout the day Monday, August 16.
