Melting, Evaporation, Condensation and Deposition.


First, we're going to talk about melting. Melting is the change of matter from solid to liquid for example, when we pass from ice to water.

Global Warming

The global warming is produced because of pollution. It consists in that CO2 concentration is rising up in the atmosphere because of combustion processes and increasing the Green House effect. That high temperatures produce that the ice of the poles is melting and the level of the sea increases, and that causes that a lot of animals are without home.

Now, we are going to talk about the evaporation that is the pass from liquid to gas. When you heat water a lot, that gives energy to the particles and they move around freely.

The atmosphere of a planet is evaporating!

The atmosphere of the planet HD189733b, is evaporating because of the violent eruption of his star. This planet is situated at 60 light years from the Earth. We don't know what the atmosphere is made up of. This planet is similar to the planet Jupiter, but is 30 times closer that from the Earth to the sun and that is why it is called "Hot Jupiter".

We are going to explain condensation, is the pass from gas to liquid. It produces when we lower the temperature of the gas and it becames a liquid.

Mount Washington

Is the place with the most mist in the world and it is in New Hampshire, E.E.U.U. In thisspot, the mist is present 300 days a year. Walking there is like walking with closed eyes. It has an alpine climate that's why is cold every day. During summer, people go to the mountains when the weather is fine. The storms make this peak the deadliest in the continent.

Finally, we are going to explain deposition, which is when you pass from solid to gas. It is produced when the temperature increases or decreases a lot and very fast and the matter doesn't passthrough the liquid state.

The planet that is disappearing

This planet, with an unknown name, is disintegrating due to the burning heat of his star. The star is called KIC 12557548 and is more little and colder than our Sun. This planet is 1.500 light years from the Earth and takes less than 16 hours to circle its star. It has a size similar to Mercury and creates a dusty tail. This planet will probably disappear within 200,000,000 years. The planet has a temperature of 1,816ºC and it has a sea of magma boiling.
