Carson CC News Flash

Welcome Back!

I hope everyone had a joyous and restful break and that you are all gearing up for our Spring semester. We have lots of fun art projects and science experiments coming up as our students begin to explore The Great Artists and Earth Science. Things could get a little messy, Folks. We will be using lots of paint, plaster and clay over the next several weeks. You may want to have an old shirt or smock handy for your artist or scientist in training.

Upcoming Events

Outreach Season

As we get ready for another semester of CC, we are also getting ready for Outreach Season. This is a great time to share CC with friends and family. We will be having Information Meetings and Open Houses as well as a very special event to kick things off. Robert Bortins, CEO of Classical Conversations, will be in Reno on February 4th. Please make plans to attend the General Meeting with Robert from 7:00-9:00 pm at Living Stones Church in Reno. Not only will you have an opportunity to hear the "heart" of CC from the very top, you will have the privilege of hearing from one of the very first CC students. WOW!

Navigating History: The Art of Argumentation is our Practicum theme this summer and it is just around the corner. Our local CC communities will be hosting two Parent Practicums. Not only will this be an amazing opportunity for parent equipping and tutor training, your children will have the opportunity to participate in really fun and educational camps. Our first Practicum will be held June 2-4 at S. Reno Baptist Church. From July 27-29, Good Shepherd Wesleyan Church will host our Practicum in Carson City.

We need your help for Practicum! Please contact Debra or Bev if you are interested in serving and encouraging other homeschool families.
