We will introduce contractions. We will also be making predictions,taking picture walks, asking questions, making connections, decoding and blending, and chunking words in word families (sh, th, ch and /or/ spelled or and ore).


We will continue studying the equal sign. We will also be discussing and learning about doubles and doubles plus one.


Using Lucy Caulkins and Little Critter books, we will continue "small moment" narrative writing.


This week will begin our unit on plants. We will be learning about the foods we eat and their relationship to plants. We will also be conducting a food investigation.
