SLP Girls' Softball Teams set to participate in the first round of the LHSAA State Playoffs!
Congratulations to Beau Chene High School, Port Barre High School and Eunice High School Girls' Softball Teams for advancing to the first round of the LHSAA State Playoffs.

Eunice High School
Eunice High School students participated in the Tri-Parish Foreign Language Festival,
held at LSU-E, on March 27, 2018.
Students either recited a French poem or read a French prose selection and were judged on their individual presentations.
Congratulations to all of these students for receiving a Superior rating in the category in which
they participated!

GLENDALE ELEMENTARY
Glendale students were recently awarded prizes for being Student of the Month. Each student was awarded a medal, certificate, pencil and a treat. HIGHLAND ELEMENTARY
After doing writing, counting, and addition practice with numbers, Ms. Perkins' Kindergarten students played “Monster Eyes”. They had to roll dice and put that many “eyes” on their monster! Whoever got to the number 20 won the game!

OHS National Honor Society Inductees 2018​
The Opelousas High School National Honor Society held their Induction Ceremony March 28th. Congratulations to all of our new inductees and to the 2018 NHS Officers for hosting a lovely ceremony.
Opelousas High School hosted a Wizard of Qz themed Prom on March 23, 2018. The King and Queen are Isaiah Charles and Kassidy Stanford. Junior Prince and Princess are Christian Carter and Johanna Gibbs. Students enjoyed the evening of dancing, camaraderie and engaging with faculty who dressed in costume.​
Opelousas High School and the United States Army Louisiana National Guard hosted a Positive Behavior Interventions & Supports (PBIS) Fun Day in the Gymnasium on March 15th. Students who qualified experienced an afternoon of listening to music, visiting with friends and rolling around in human hamster balls and battling like gladiators with batons in a ring. The students will be treated to a movie and food and drinks to finish off the afternoon.​
