On 11/29/18, Father John V. Doyle School students in grades 3-8 participated in Benediction, Adoration, and our first Corpus Christi Procession.

School Board invites you to the next Open Session...

The next School Board meeting will be held on Monday December 10, 2018 in the rectory conference room and the Open Session will begin at 6:30pm. Space in the conference room is limited. For seating purposes, please let Mrs. Smith know if you plan on attending. Thank you!

Focus on Safety continues...

Twenty-one faculty and staff, including Father Woolley, participated in the Stop the Bleed training with Officer DiRobbio from the Coventry Police Department. This training, combined with our ALICE certification, prepares our faculty and staff to keep our students safe in an emergency situation.


In addition, we have received a full set of walkie-talkies from an anonymous donor to aid in communication during the school day. Thank you!!!

Providence Bruins offer to FJVD families!

Since the Singing Saints performed at a P-Bruins game this season, they have a special offer for FJVD families:


Come on out and celebrate the end of 2018 with $18 tickets to a Providence Bruins game! Everyone who purchases a ticket will also receive a Sports Bottle as well! There is no minimum amount of tickets needed for this group rate. Available game dates are:

Snow days and delays for Father John V. Doyle School are announced through the Rhode Island Broadcasters Association. FJVD follows the Coventry public school system snow days and delays. Before Care opens at 8am on a Delay Day.

RI Catholic School Parent Federation

Father John V. Doyle School needs two parent liaisons to join the Parents Federation. Please contact Mrs. Smith if you can fill this role!


The Rhode Island Catholic School Parents Federation organizes parents to assure equal opportunities for quality education to all who desire it. It is committed to educating, advocating and mobilizing Catholic school parents, public policy-makers and the public at large to ensure that Catholic school students and parents receive all the rights and privileges to which they are entitled. Its primary purpose is to maintain state and federally mandated services which include student transportation, health and special education services, textbook loans and federal entitlement grants and services. A secondary purpose is to provide parents with access to public tax funds which may include tax credits, tax deductions and educational opportunity scholarships.
