Back to School Night - THIS THURSDAY 3:30-5:30pm
We hope to see you all later this Thursday for our Back to School Night! This will be a great opportunity to see your student's classroom, meet their teachers and connect with other LFCPS families!
High School Info Session for 8th Grade Families 5:30-7pm
Please plan to attend our Back to School Night on Thursday September 28th. After you meet with all of your child's teachers and see the school building, you can head to the auditorium for a High School Info Session
Ms. Moore (Director of Guidance) will be hosting the HS Info Session for students and families. From 5:30p-6pm Ms. Moore will speak about the transition to High School processes and Worcester Public School offerings along with the Vocational and Technical Education choices available.
At 6pm, Admissions representatives from the area's private and religious schools will be set up at tables for you to visit and ask all of your questions about the school, admissions process and financial aid. You will be able to sign up for open houses, tours, shadow days and any other events they have coming up. The process is already underway, so please plan to attend. It is where and when you will get all of the information you could need to make the transition go very smoothly for both you and your child.
7th Grade Families: If you are anxious about the process and want to get a head start learning about it, you are welcome to attend as well, however I will do this again next year for you and your child!
See you all on the 28th!
-Lisa Moore

No Uniform Day - Friday 9/29
This Friday is our first No Uniform Day of the year! As a reminder, we are encouraging all students to participate and to bring in a donation of $1.00 (or more) to support the Learning First Foundation's Scholarship Fund.
All of the money we raise will go directly to support our Learning First High School Scholarships (for graduating 8th Graders attending tuition-based schools) and our Promising Teacher Scholarship (for Instructional Assistants to get their Undergrad Degree in Education).
Learning First's PTO Corner
Learning First’s Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) will be holding our first fundraiser event of the year. A calendar raffle! This raffle is where people buy a chance to win prizes (cash, physical item, or service) awarded each day for an entire month. The winners are selected by random drawing. Each ticket you buy will give you 30 chances to win a prize! Each day of November we will randomly draw a name and contact winners via the contact information provided on the calendar raffle.
The Calendar Raffle will be going home with students on 10/2/2023. All completed stubs along with payments should be submitted no later than 10/30/2023 so we may begin our drawing on November 1st. There will be a prize for the top seller of calendars and also a class prize for the classroom selling the most!
All proceeds will benefit school activities and end of the year festivities.
We thank you in advance for helping us make this fundraising event a success!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Bryan

Youth Mural Update
Due to the weather this past weekend, we had to reschedule our Youth Mural Paint day to Sunday October 1st (11am-2pm).
If you/your student will be available that day and would like to get them signed up to paint, we can still take a few other students. Please email Lauren Reppucci (lreppucci@learningfirstcharter.org) to sign up!
Message from the Superintendent
I want to take this opportunity to thank all the staff and parents who came out to our first Coffee with the Superintendent! It was great to see the parents of our amazing students. We asked every parent to tell us something they like about the school as well as something they didn't like or didn't understand. Some wonderful information was shared and some new perspectives learned out.
A special thanks to our Kitchen Staff for putting out such a nice spread for all of us to enjoy.
I hope to meet even more parents at our next coffee event scheduled for Friday October 27th.
