- Unify Testing Security: Information about using OLA Student Admin in order to lock assessments while students are not at school has been added to the Unify Google Site Administer OLA page. Locking assessments between school days is a necessary step to keep county assessments secure and ensure students are not accessing assessments at home.
- Elementary Math/Special Education: Teachers were excited about what they learned at the Bridges RTI Workshops on January 31st and February 1st and are anxious to share what they learned with colleagues. The Department of Special Education and the Department of Curriculum and Instruction will provide substitute money to allow time for this collaborative follow up. Please let Admin know when you would like to use this collaborative time. Thanks
- Elementary Math: Here are the results from the Mid Year Bridges Implementation Survey. More teachers are becoming comfortable with the program and finding success. Collaboration was a common theme. If you are interested in more details and comments about concerns or would like additional support, please contact Becky Loker.
- Crayola Colorcycle Recycle Program - Crayola and schools across North America are banding together to help kids understand the importance of their role in protecting the environment. Through this initiative, students can collect and re-purpose used Crayola markers. The website includes sample lesson plans, sample parent letters, sample signs/posters, and FAQ's. If you are interested in this being a school or grade level initiative, please let us know. We are more than willing to support your efforts to get this up and running at LES! - Field Trip/Program Trip Rate Update: This is a reminder that the updated field trip/program trip rate went into effect on February 1, 2019. Please read the Field Trip/Program Trip Update for information on the trip rate, getting approval for trips, entering trips, and securing school buses.
- Conscious Discipline Parent Workshop- There will be a follow-up parent workshop at the JAFCTC on Wednesday, Feb. 27th from 5:30-7:30. This presentation “From Chaos to Calm, Part II” will focus on self-regulation skills. Information will be forthcoming via press release and flyers through Peach Jar. All are welcome!

Bridges Intervention
Please feel free to use pieces of the Bridges Intervention. The intervention itself does not need to be used to fidelity. You can utilize pieces for additional practice for struggling students, warm up, games, workplace from the previous year etc.
