Activating Transformative Leaders in Communities and Cities

Q Commons Sacramento: The Power of We

Q founder Gabe Lyons spoke this past weekend at the Thrive Apologetics conference at Bayside Church. He took time with the thousands gathered there to talk about the vision for Q Commons as a place for leaders in cities across America to gather to hear about and discuss the challenging realities of pursuing the common good with gospel motives and real impact. We are grateful that he lifted up Q Commons Sacramento as a great place for people in this region to have that experience. The theme of "The Power of We" will be on display through our local speakers (featured below), a local panel, and through all of those who gather. We hope that will include YOU and those you know. Space is limited this year in our venue! Take time to get you tickets today at www.qcommons/sacramento.com

Meet the Q Commons Local Speakers

David Nystrom

Dr. David Nystrom's desire is to serve the Church by helping its future leaders grasp the Christ-exalting message of Scripture, so they grow in their love for God and so He is glorified through their lives and ministries. Dr. Nystrom has served in academic leadership at Biola, North Park, Fuller Seminary, and William Jessup University. He is currently fulfilling his mission of shaping leaders at Western Seminary.

Jann Murray-Garcia

Jann Murray-García is a pediatrician by training, but a community activist in my heart, and by family legacy. She focuses on social justice as a way to improve child, adolescent, and community health, especially in the implicit, institutional messages of inequality experienced almost daily in our nation's schools, through racially unequal discipline and other schooling practices. Her newest passion is to rent places to stay right on God's unfathomably awesome ocean and escape for peace, reflection, and restoration with my crazy, wonderful husband and two adult children.

Funding Q Commons - Will You?

Every local venue for Q Commons has to find their way of funding the event. In Sacramento, that means sponsorship. Two-thirds of the registration fee goes to support the national work of Q and it is impossible to run an event that costs less than a ticket to a movie. We are looking for a few more sponsors to fully fund our event. Will you? To sponsor, contact Merisa Moy at merisa@actsonline.net
