Book Fair at the Lincoln School

RI Festival of Children’s Books and Authors 2018

Amulet Fans rejoice! Max & Ruby Fans cheer! Mr. Wuffles attacks! And much more...

Yet again there is a stellar line up for the Festival. There is something to please and delight everyone at this family centered, fun filled event. Among this year's participants are many authors and illustrators that appeal not only to younger audiences but to middle school students and a Young Adult audience as well.

Highlights include the incredibly popular author/illustrator Kazu Kibuishi, of the Amulet series, two time Newbery winner Gary Schmidt, five-time Caldecott winner David Weisner, Rosemary Wells, Kevin Henkes,, Jerry Pinkney, Yuyi Morales - many hold prestigious awards: Pura Belpre, Coretta Scott King, Golden Kite, Quill Award, etc.: and all are perennial favorites with your children. Show them the images below and watch their reaction!

Presentations: Each author and illustrator gives a 30-minute presentation on their work, life, and philosophy. You will have the chance to meet and talk with the authors and illustrators and have your books personally signed. The Festival has a great selection, including newest releases. Then purchase books and have them signed by the authors and illustrators. Birthday gifts? Holiday shopping? Done! You're very welcome.

And if that's not enough to lure you....then, do you have a:

Budding writer? There's a short fiction writing workshop for the middle and upper grades through Write Rhode Island.

Budding crafter? Lots of fun activities for your artist to make and take home.

Food Truck lover? How about Niman Ranch Angus burgers, wood fired pizza, crepes, cup cakes, ice cream? Coffee? Hmmmm?

See the schedule box to find out author signing times and what to expect from the presentations. Hope to see you all there!! Any questions? Please feel free to email me or call the Lincoln School for information.
