Allergies

We are a PEANUT FREE classroom due to food allergies. Please refrain from sending in snacks that contain peanuts or nuts. In addition, if sending a treat for the whole class, please make sure the treat is peanut and nut free.

Cafeteria News

If your child would like to celebrate a birthday here at school, please bring PEANUT FREE cupcakes or an individually wrapped PEANUT FREE snack to share at lunch. Please do not bring anything that has to be cut, as time is limited. Remember to share with our class only. Currently, we have 28 students.

Learning Targets for the week:

Reading -

I can compare and contrast two or more characters, settings, and events.

I can describe how a narrator's or speaker's point of view influences how events are described.


Writing -

I can write an informative text to examine a topic and convey ideas and information clearly.

I can introduce a topic clearly.

I can provide a general observation and focus.

I can group related information logically.


Math -

I can interpret a fraction as division of the numerator by the denominator.

I can multiply a fraction or whole number by a fraction.


Science -

Students have started a research topic about Earth Science in Computer Specials.

I can describe constructive and destructive forces.


Social Studies -

I can describe the reasons people immigrated to the U.S., from where they immigrated, and where they settled.

I can describe the impact of westward expansion on Native Americans.

I can describe the role of cattle trails in the late 19th century.

Reminders

  • Students may bring a water bottle
  • Please check Friday folders and take out all work/flyers!
  • Transportation changes need to be done in the office or with a written note.
