Summer Greetings, Northpoint!
Well, we made it. We have so much to be thankful for as we look back on this school year. Thank you to our entire community for partnering and persisting as we continued to navigate all COVID-19 had to throw at us! I am proud and blessed to work with and serve our students, staff, and families.
Northpoint is a very special place, and we have much to celebrate from this year. We enjoyed a new reading resource, and the learning and engagement our students experienced was second to none. Multiage classrooms were implemented for the first time, and the success was so great that we are looking forward to expanding this configuration to all grade 1-4 classrooms.
Beyond our classrooms, our PTO hosted Fall Fun Fest, Winter at Wargo, and the Spring Carnival. It was wonderful to have our families back together! Tomorrow, we conclude the year by inviting all parents in for a picnic on the playground during their child’s lunch period. (See below for a reminder with details in the Need to Know section).
Here are a few little updates before our last day:
- Report cards will be available to view on Campus Parent Portal starting at midday Thursday, June 9.
- Summer contacts: Keep in touch this summer through our main office, which will be open during the months of June and August. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns. The District Services Center is open all summer should you need help, 763-600-5000.
- School communications will resume in early August with information about Meet and Greet, school supplies, and the overall plan for the start of the 2022-2023 school year.
In Spring Lake Park Schools, we espouse our purpose of High Expectations, High Achievement for All, No Excuses, and our dedication to knowing each student by interest, strength, and need. These are not just idle words. To see our staff personalize learning for each child and focus on their sense of belonging is truly remarkable. As the year winds down, there will be some sad kiddos. . . and plenty of adults who also hate to have to say good-bye!
As we transition into summer, I hope you can keep the learning going - whether that's through SLP summer school, SLP community education, reading books at home or at the library, taking walks in the park ... the possibilities are endless. Thank you for supporting your student and our school. . . and enjoy the summer. We’ll see you back September 6!
