Send some holiday cheer to your children, their friends, and teachers with Mulberry Holiday Grams!

The fifth grade committee will once again be selling Holiday grams during Holiday Hotcakes and holiday lunches, as well as each morning before school, December 8-17.

Mulberry's Holiday Tradition

Mulberry's 12ft Holiday Tree is on display in the atrium, and we would love to continue or tradition of decorating the tree with ornaments from every Mulberry family. If your family is new to Mulberry or if you did not send in an ornament last year, we invite you to send in an ornament representing your family's heritage and traditions to the front office. Be sure to include your family name on the ornament. As our students grow and move on to other schools they will leave a special remembrance at Mulberry.

Holiday Celebrations and Donations

We extend our sincere thanks to Mrs. Askue and the PTA holiday hotcakes committee for a fabulous morning of fun and fellowship. The twinkle in the eyes of Santa, the sounds of young voices, and sweet smell of pancakes made for a magical morning at Mulberry!

We appreciate too the nearly 350 families that joined us for holiday lunches on Monday and Tuesday, which was prepared and served by Mrs. Trudel and our wonderful cafeteria staff.

The Mulberry Outreach Committee would like to thank you for the charitable donations of clothing and toys you sent in for our families in need. We truly appreciate your generosity towards our Mulberry students and their families during this holiday season.

Happy Holidays to all!

Georgia Parent Survey

The Georgia Department of Education Department is conducting a parent survey. This survey is available via the link below, and we encourage you to take a few minutes to provide your feedback about the climate of Mulberry Elementary. Your responses are valuable to us as they will impact Mulberry’s Georgia School Climate Star Rating.

The survey link will remain open through February. Thank you for supporting our school!

5th Grade Promotion Ceremony

5th grade parents, it’s hard to believe that half of the school year is gone. The Promotion Ceremony will be here before we know it. An integral part of the ceremony is the Slide Show. The slide show will be played during the Reception and is always a big hit. The children love seeing their pictures on the big screen.

We are asking that you submit 3 photos (baby, preschool age, and current) that you feel depicts your 5th grader’s personality. Please submit photos by December 20, 2014.

You can submit the photos two different ways:

1) Email: Please include your child’s name & Teacher in the email.

2) Send photos in an envelope clearly marked “Slide Show pictures” for your child to turn in. Please label all photos that you want returned, with your child’s name, Teacher, and a contact phone# or email.

Please also submit any photos of your child, throughout the years, at Mulberry events (clubs, Bingo Night, Movie Night, Field Day, lunch with friends, etc.). We would love to include these photos in the Slide Show as well. What an amazing opportunity to reminisce and reflect on how our “babies” have blossomed into the young people that they are today.
