Stilwell Monday Message

Weekly Student and Family Communication

April - 4/26/2021

Good Morning Stilwell students and families,

Happy odd Monday.

We want to thank all of our students for their hard work during ISASP testing. We know that it can be a challenging week for everyone.

This past weekend our Stilwell cast and crews performed Murder in the Knife Room. The students did a fabulous job showcasing their talents. I would like to thank Mr. Aaron Hunt and Mrs. Kay Woods for all of their hard work in supporting our students' theatric performance.

Students, as we start to head into our final five weeks of school, please make sure you are turning in all pieces of learning to your teacher. We want your grades to accurately reflect what you know and are able to do. If you are in need of help please speak to a teacher you trust and we will support you.

Have an awesome week!!

Erica Whittle - Principal

Travel to Ecuador 2022

Dear Stilwell Family,

Your student is invited to join our group headed to Ecuador in the summer of 2022. Though this has been a challenging year, I am a firm believer that incredible growth comes with seeing the world, exploring new places, and experiencing new cultures - and I’m excited to bring that opportunity to your family and our community.

This trip will fill up fast, so please join my informational meeting to learn:

· How this opportunity will benefit your child

· Why now is the right time to start planning

· How your investment will be protected

· What we’ll see and experience on our trip

· How your child can earn academic credit

· How we’re keeping this safe and affordable

Our meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 4th at 6 pm There are limited spots available so don’t miss your opportunity to reserve your seat. One parent must be in attendance.

RSVP’s are mandatory to attend the meeting, so please RSVP here:

Parking Lot Protocol

We understand our parking lot drop-off and pick-up process can be time-consuming. However, we need all families to follow the procedures to ensure our students are safe. Please remember these guidelines:

  • Do not use the local business as a place to pick-up your child.
  • Do not drop off your student or stop for any reason along Vine Street.
  • Do not pull into the bus lanes along Vine Street.
  • Do not allow your student to exit the vehicle until you have pulled up to the curb in the parking lot.
  • Please drive slowly through the parking lot and on Vine St.

Reminder for In-Person Students

If your student is signed up this semester to be an “in-person” learner, your student cannot choose to learn “online” due to convenience, illness, or weather unless the district determines that we all move to online learning for that day. Students will be counted absent and will need a parent call to excuse.

This should be done in the usual way through our attendance line at 633-6000. You may leave a message 24 hours a day and we ask that you give your student’s name, student ID number, and what grade they are in so we may update their attendance. Thank you!

After the Bell

After the bell is an additional opportunity at the end of the day to get support with learning from a certified teacher. It will start on Tuesday, September 8th in the Stilwell cafeteria. Students will receive an additional snack using social distancing and are welcome to stay until 4:00 pm. After the bell will run each week Monday-Thursday. For more information please contact Mr. Peter Bissinger at
