The Final Leg of the Race
What a year! I can't tell you how proud I am of all of you! The race we have all ran this year has been one for the record books. I know it seemed like we ran a sprint for the whole marathon. Honestly, it was what we had to do to catch students up and fill in the gaps. As I looked around the assessment wall on Friday, I was moved my emotion to see our impact on student achievement!
These last four days will be the last leg of the race for this school year. Enjoy this time with your students as you make an impact that will last a lifetime. I had the opportunity to run into a former student of mine this weekend. When I had him in class, he was a student that wasn't easy to teach or love, but I did anyway. He told me this weekend how proud I would be of him at how hard he is working now! We may never know our impact, but there will be opportunities that you will get to see how you made a difference.
We learned so much from Brian Butler about RTI on Friday. This will kick start our year for next year! Special thanks to Ms. Barnhart for being at the meeting via Google Hangout. Mr. Brian said that this was a first getting to teach a baby about RTI!
