Just the Facts...May 25, 2022
Lakeside has Heart!
Lakeside Families,
As I compose this note to each of you I am struck by the reality of the events in our world. It is not lost on me that each day you share your children with us, you are trusting us with your heart. We do not take that responsibility lightly. Thank you for sharing your children with us and thank you for your partnership.
This will be our last Just the Facts for awhile but please keep your eyes open for a late July/early August newsletter that will detail the events or timelines for the new year. On behalf of the staff and students at Lakeside I want to wish each of you a wonderful, a healthy, and a safe summer.
If you are a 5th grader or a departing learner, we wish you well. If you we will be back in the fall we are looking forward to seeing you soon.
Remember to read, relax, and have some fun!
News you can use
If your child is in third, fourth, or fifth grade you will be receiving a letter informing you whether or not they "met standard" for their specific grade level. Those letters should go home between today and Friday.
Please note:
- Individual student reports are not available at this time.
- The campus does not have any other information available about your child's individual report.
- TEA will upload individual reports by the end of June and the district will send out instructions on how to access them at that time.
- Students that did not meet standard are invited to apply for the CISD summer bridge program. That information will be shared alongside your child's STAAR letter.
Please keep your eyes open for that information.
CISD Devices
Returning students will take their current devices home with them for the summer.
Campuses will recirculate devices in the fall to update the inventory accordingly.
Students who are not returning for the 2022-23 school year will turn in their iPad at their campus on the last day of school. If the student is withdrawn after May 27, an appointment will need to be made to drop off the device at the Service Center. Please use this form to schedule the appointment. This document, Preparing Your iPad for Turn In, outlines instructions for backing up your personal data and preparing your iPad for turn-in.
CISD Registration Information
If you are returning to CISD you should have received a registration link for the new school year. If you have not received that link you may need to check your spam folder. Please verify your enrollment once you receive that link. Thank you.
