Alkaline Earth Metals rock!
On the inside and outside!
The Alkaline Earth Metals; Beryllium, Magnesium, Calcium, Strontium, Barium, and Radium have been around for a very long time and we have used these elements for various different things! And get this; they all come from the ground!
Beryllium is used as heat conductive and electric insulating materials for industrial purposes and is good due to its light weight. Magnesium is a flammable metal that is used in the production of today's other metals. Calcium is present in our bones and is hat gives them the strength they have to support our weight. However,it is also used for dairy products and cement.
Strontium and Barium aren't as useful as the other metals, but have some uses. Strontium is used to create red fireworks and neurotransmitters, while Barium is used for the petroleum industry.Radium used to be used in everything from drinking water to toothpaste to paints, but it is pretty much worthless now due to the health issues concerning its radioactivity.
